Allana College of Architecture was established in 1999 by the M.C.E. Society with donation given by Mr. Abdul Razzak Allana & Late Mr. Hussain Allana. The College is approved by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi till date along with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education, and Directorate of Technical Education Mumbai Maharashtra State at the start.
The College has conducted multiple Architecture under-graduate and post-graduate courses since its establishment; B.Arch. course since 1999, M.Arch. (General) 2005 to 2009, M.Arch. (Construction Management) since 2010 and has been affiliated to various reputed Universities viz. Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Maharashtra.
The College imparts education leading to five years full time B.Arch. course and two years full time M.Arch. (Project /Construction Management) course. The College is housed in a spacious building constructed as per norms & specifications of AICTE & Council of Architecture. It has spacious, well-equipped Studios and Classrooms with audio -visual facilities, Library with over 6000 titles and a Digital library of Reference books, Computer labs with 24 hour high speed internet connection and latest software required for Architecture, Research Room, Art Court, Model making workshop, Carpentry Workshop and Building Material Museum, Climatology & Building Services Lab, Construction Yard & Workshop for hands-on practice of various construction techniques, Seminar-cum-Conference hall, Reprography Room, Students’ Common Room and area, free Wi-Fi access for staff and students, etc.

Allana College of Architecture , Pune has been committed to the cause of architectural education since its inception in 1999. Over the years it has established itself as an institution of credibility that has pursued the goal of holistic learning in addition to academic excellence. The institution aims to equip students with knowledge & skills that enable them to move into the profession with confidence. This is enabled through skill development and industry overlaps that are integrated into the formal learning. The institution runs under graduate (B. Arch) & post graduate (M. ELIGIBILITY for Admission to First Year of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.):
- Passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics OR Passed (10+3) Full time Diploma Examination recognized by All India Council for Technical Education / Central / State Govt. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject OR as declared by the appropriate authority from time to time.
- The Candidate should have appeared and qualified the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture via www.nata.in or JEE conducted by NTA OR as declared by the appropriate authority from time to time
ELIGIBILITY for Admission to First Year of Master of Architecture (M.Arch.):
- Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from All India Council for Technical Education or Council of Architecture or Central or State Government approved institute or equivalent, with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidate of backward class categories and persons with disability)
- Obtained score in M.ARCH-CET of Govt. OR GATE-Architecture OR CET of the University OR equivalent OR as declared by appropriate authority from time to time
Practical /Professional /Industrial Training is included as a part of syllabus for both B.Arch. and M.Arch. Program. B.Arch. has a one semester /100 days Practical Training via internship, whereas M.Arch. has 8 weeks /40 days Practical Learning via observership to be completed mandatorily during Final Year of the program.
Being a professional & creative course, ACOA prepares students with graduates having entrepreneurship and employability skills at under-graduate as well as post-graduate level. Students are offered orientation sessions on Master Studies in core /allied fields and Career guidance in India and Abroad, based on their interests, before completing their final projects and stepping into the profession and industry. ACOA Alumni step in to discuss further based on their experience and guide the graduating batch.
ACOA has a “Career Guidance and Placement Cell” comprising Faculty members to counsel and mentor students. Students usually prefer finding opportunities themselves. For those who need assistance, ACOA recommends them about present job opportunities by forwarding them the notices /posters /job ads that college receives frequently and encourages them to apply.
Placement activity is conducted as per students’ requirement every year. Aspiring students have been successfully placed at various firms in and outside Pune viz.
